Proportion - The Repeated Pattern

Above: This is the repeated pattern for Proportion.

Both of these show proportion, but I did not think that
they looked like finished patterns. They cut of from where the
sketch finished and didn't look polished. I made a few
adjustments and used reflections to fix this, as shown in the
final repeated pattern.

Heirachy - The Repeated Pattern

This is the final texture for Heirachy. I had a little trouble
finding a pattern that would still portray the idea of Heirachy,
but I think that this one works.

These are early patterns that I created. I didnt want to use them
as a final pattern as I think that they lack the sense of Heirachy,
and does not communicate the design principle well enough.

Rhythm - The Repeated Pattern

Above: This is my final design for Rhythm. I think that
this pattern is great and the use of repetition and reflection
has further emphasized the idea of Rhythm, more so than
the original sketch.

These first two patterns that i created didn't quite work.
I believe that they do not emphasize Rhythm enough, so further
developed them and came up with a much more successful
final repeated pattern.

Figure&Ground - The Repeated Pattern

ABOVE: This is my final repeated pattern for the
Design principle "Figure & Ground" .

I originally made both of these patterns but do not really
think that they are as effective as they could be. I added more
variations in scale in order too create a bit more depth
and make the pattern a bit more interesting.

Datum: The Repeated Pattern

Above: My final repeated pattern for "Datum"

These two patterns were made before my final one. I had a little bit
trouble creating a pattern that further emphasizes the Design principle
of "datum." After playing around a little bit, I was able to create a
pattern that further displays "Datum."

Contrast: The Repeated Pattern

Above: The pattern I chose as my Repeated pattern for 'Contrast.'

These are some more patterns that I have created. I do like them both,
though I just thought that the pattern/design could be pushed a
little further. So by playing around with the scale of the original sketch,
I was able to come up with a more successful pattern.

Symmetry - the Repeated Pattern

Above: My "Symmetry" Repeated Pattern

These are both repeated patterns that I made before my final one.
I didn't think that these ones were as effective so decided
to keep reworking the pattern, which is how i ended up with my final
repeated pattern for symmetry.
